Every item in the library collection is assigned a call number. Books are assigned Library of Congress call numbers, each begins with a letter or letters.

To locate a book in the library, look at the first letter of your call number; it will help you determine what floor houses the item. Review the Building Directory, one is located next to the elevators on each floor of the library.  For example:

The End of Normal: The Great Crisis and the Future of Growth
HB3717 2008.G337 2015   >> would be located on the 4th floor.

Call Number Location (Floor)
L 2nd floor
Juv A - Z 2nd floor
A - E 3rd floor
F - M 4th floor
N - P 5th floor
Q - Z & Oversized 6th floor
